Post Description

Pay Scale   Pay Level-7 (44,900-1,42,400) in pay matrix under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.44,900/- plus DA as applicable per month
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UTs Govt. Servants upto 5 years’ as per instructions/orders issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. Educational-

Masters Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a Recognised University or Institution

NOTE

Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

B. Experience-

Two(02) years experience in carrying out geological appraisals for minerals or ore deposits or research or teaching experience in the field of Geology or Applied Geology in a Recognised Institution
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Conducting special integrated studies and other studies for appraisal of mineral deposits through inspection mines under provision of MCDR. Carrying out studies such as mine environmental/pollution control, techno-economic feasibility studies of the deposit. Periodic updation of National Mineral Inventory of leasehold area.
Probation   02 (Two) Years
Headquarters   Headquarters is in Nagpur (Maharashta) with service liability anywhere in India.
Other Details   The post is General Central Service, Non-Ministerial Gazetted, Group ‘B’. The post is permanent.
