| Pay Scale | LEVEL – 10 ( Rs. 56100 – 177500/-) |
| Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Castes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant up to Five years as per instruction/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A.EDUCATIONAL- Master’s degree in Anthropology of a recognized University with more than fifty percent papers in Cultural Anthropology in final year examination. Note- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. B.EXPERIENCE-3 years research experience in Anthropology Note The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reason to be recorded in writing in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, if any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from the community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them. |

i) To lead field parties and to carry out Anthropological investigation in the field of Cultural Anthropology and to prepare reports. ii) To prepare research plans and programmes and to supervise the research work of other scientific members in collection of data, analysis of data and writing of reports. iii) To do such other works as and when assigned by the Head of the Deptt. |
