Post Description

Pay Scale	Level-11 in the pay matrix (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700/-) Plus NPA .
Age	Not exceeding 50 years for UR and EWS Candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)	A. EDUCATION- (i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) M.D.(Anaesthesiology)/ M.S.(Anaesthesiology) from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent. B. EXPERIENCE- Three year’s teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring Post Graduate qualification as Lecturer/Registrar/ Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor in a Recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution. NOTE- 1- The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise will qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)
Duty(ies)	The duties of Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor(Anaesthesiology) will be to teach the undergraduate(MBBS) and Post graduate students, training of interns, paramedical staff and research work.
Probation	1 year for direct recruits.
Headquarters	Chandigarh
Other Details	Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial, General Central Service. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions	1. Candidates recruited to the post will be covered by the New Contributory Pension Scheme and the candidates selected are required to join immediately. 2. Private practice, of any kind, including laboratory and consultant practice , is strictly prohibited. 3. The candidates so appointed shall have to join his duties within 03 months from the date of issue of appointment order. 4. The candidates so appointed in this institute shall not be allowed to apply for the posts for employment outside the Chandigarh Administration for a period of two years from the date of joining the post.
