Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 7 of 7th CPC (Rs 44900-1,42,400/-)
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A-EDUCATIONAL Master’s Degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics from a recognised University or Institute.
Note- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

B-EXPERIENCE Two years’ experience in collection, compilation and interpretation of economic data.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Monitoring and evaluation of the Rural Development programme, Preparation of Plan Proposals, Working out District wise allocation of resources under respective programme, Providing assistance to senior in policy matters, All matters related to Parliament and Timely release of central share of funds/resources to the Districts etc.
Probation   02 Years
(Note There shall be a mandatory induction training of at least two weeks duration for successful completion of the probation as prescribed by the Central Government)

Other Details   The posts is Permanent, General Central Service, Group ‘B’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
