Post Description

Pay Scale   Level – 10 (Rs.56,100 – 1,77,500/-) in Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P.) Rules, 2016. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56,100/- plus DA as applicable per month).
Age   Not exceeding 35 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date for vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. Educational-
Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or Institute.

B. Experience-
Having at least three years research experience in Chemistry.

Note Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of the candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Field data and sample collection from rivers and reservoirs and analysis of physiochemical & biological parameters using standard methods. Water quality model studies for River and Reservoir systems using different simulation software to predict futuristic scenario. Prepare project and technical reports and draft standards.
Probation   01 (One) year.
Headquarters   Khadakwasla, Pune, with All India Service Liability.
Other Details   General Central Services, Group ‘A’ Gazetted. Non-Ministerial. The posts are permanent.
