Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 7 (Rs. 44900/- to 142400/-) (Total emoluments at minimum of the scale Rs. 44900/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately.
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants upto 5 years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.’
Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL Master’s Degree in Science in one of the subjects viz. Physics, Chemistry (Inorganic) from a recognized University.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
B. EXPERIENCE Two years practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the fields of Metallurgy from recognized organization or undertaking.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE- NIL
Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise will qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   The Officer shall be responsible for quality assurance, acceptance, inspection of equipments, arms and ammunitions stores defect investigation, trials, vetting of draft indents/agreements/supply orders, sampling plans, liaison with production units, removal of bottlenecks and suggesting methods of improvement of quality.
Probation   Two years.
Headquarters   New Delhi.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial).
The posts are permanent.
Any Other Conditions   Candidates have to serve in any of the establishments of DGQA located all over India.
