Post Description
| Pay Scale | As per 7th CPC- Level-10 (Rs. 56100 – 177500/-) in the Pay Matrix. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56100/- plus DA as applicable per month.) |
| Age | Not exceeding 35 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government/UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A. Educational- Graduate degree preferably in science with diploma in photography from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent* Note 1 *Equivalent means Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art (Photography) from a recognized university/Bachelor’s degree in crime scene photography/ Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Photography. Note 2 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in the case of the candidates otherwise well qualified. B. Experience- 3 years experience in various branches of photography including experience of Scientific photography with theoretical and practical knowledge of its techniques. |

| Duty(ies) | The officers are required to examine crime exhibits, visit scenes of crime, to depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer. The responsibilities attached with the posts also require research and development. |
