Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-10 in the pay matrix Rs. 56100-1,77,500/-as per 7th CPC
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants upto five years as per instructions/ orders issued by the Government of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL
Masters Degree in Economics with Statistics or Masters Degree in Commerce with Statistics of a recognized university.
Note-I Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
B. EXPERIENCE
Three years’ experience in survey research in the field of primary industries in agriculture preferably in a Government department or recognized institute or university or autonomous or statutory organization.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Two years’ experience in drafting reports on evaluation preferably in a Government department or recognized institute or university or autonomous or statutory organization.
Duty(ies)   (i) Conduct of economic investigation to ascertain the suitability of the proposed sites for the development of fishery harbours / fish landing centres and brackish water aquaculture projects in the maritime states and union territories. (ii) Guide in the collection of fisheries related information at primary and secondary level sources (iii) To hold discussion with the stakeholders. (iv) drafting of techno-economic feasibility report (TEFRs) (v) Scrutinizing all appendices and sensitivity analysis.
Probation   One year
Headquarters   Bengaluru (liable to serve anywhere in India)
Other Details   General Central Services, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
