| Pay Scale | Pay Level- 10 |
| Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 38 years for OBC candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/order issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A- EDUCATIONAL Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering from a recognized University. B- EXPERIENCE Two years’ practical experience in production or development or quality assurance in the field of Ammunition and Weapon used by the Armed Forces. Note- The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. |
| Desirable Qualification (s) | Minimum six months certificate course in German, French, Russian, Japanese or Chinese language from a recognized institute. |
| Duty(ies) | Preparation of specifications and vetting of documents pertaining to procurement of items/stores. Technical evaluations, codifications, testing, inspection of equipment, systems/sub system pertaining to the relevant discipline and defect reports. Creation of test facilities. Interaction with the Industry and preparation of capacity/capability reports. Technical documentation and Administration of test labs. |
