Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 7 (Rs.44900-142400/-)
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates as on closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 33years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 40years for PwBD candidates as on closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government servants upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For ageconcessionapplicabletosomeothercategoriesofapplicants,pleaseseerelevantparasof the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for RecruitmentBy Selection.’
Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL
(i) Degree in any discipline with Commerce or Economics or Sociology or Social Work as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute
(ii) Diploma in Law or Labour Relations or Labour Welfare or Labour Laws or Industrial Relations or Sociology or Commerce or Social Work or Welfare Business Administration or Personnel Management from a recognized University or Institute.
Note-Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   One Year experience in Labour Law or Labour Welfare or Labour Relations or Personnel Management in an Industrial Organization or a Government Establishment.
Note- The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient numbers of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Duty(ies)   1. Inspection of establishments, enforcement of labour laws, promotion of labour welfare in Central Sphere Undertakings.
2. Prosecution of cases of defaulters.
3. Conciliation of Industrial Disputes.
4. Verification of Trade Union Membership & acquaintance with trade union movement.
5. Special enquiries on labour matters.
Probation   Two years
Headquarters   New Delhi with liability to serve anywhere in India.
Other Details   General Central Service - Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions   Governed by the New Pension Scheme of 01.01.2004.
