Post Description
Pay Scale | As per 7th CPC, Level-8 (Rs. 47600-151100/-) in the Pay Matrix (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 47,600/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately.) |
Age | Not exceeding 30 years for General and EWS category candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled caste and Schedule tribe candidates and not exceeding 33 years for other Backward class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s) |
A. EDUCATIONAL- (i) Graduate in any discipline plus bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute OR (ii) Integrated graduate in Law (5 years duration) from a recognized University or Institute. B. EXERIENCE- For Graduate in any discipline plus bachelor’s degree in Law Holders- One year experience in handling litigation & court matters/administration of Law in a Government organization. OR For Integrated graduate in Law (5 years duration) Holders- 2 years’ experience in handing litigation & court matters/administration of Law in a Government organization. Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidate otherwise well qualified. Note 2- The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. |
Desirable Qualification (s) |
(i) Additional one year experience in corporate/ criminal law matters. (ii) Masters’ in Law (LL. M.) from a recognized University or Institute. |
Duty(ies) |
(a) To assist filing of prosecutions/complaints in all the cases that are investigated by the SFIO in the concerned courts and pursue their progress. (b) Coordination with the counsels detailed by the Government. (c) Maintenance of data-base of court cases. (d) Any other work assigned from time to time. |
Probation | Two years subject to successful completion of mandatory induction training of two weeks duration, as prescribed and sponsored by SFIO. |
