| Pay Scale | PAY LEVEL – 10 IN PAY MATRIX (Rs.56,100 – 1,77,500). |
| Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant upto 5 years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
Educational - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Institute. Experience - Possessing three year’s experience in Civil Engineering. Note1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note 2- The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. |
| Desirable Qualification (s) | |
| Duty(ies) | Material survey, collection of rock, soil and aggregates samples and geotechnical data from project sites, conducting lab test, compilation, and preparation of report, formulation of project proposal, evaluation of DPR and handling of self-sponsored R&D projects, technical evaluation of design parameters of hydro structures. Undertake all work as assigned by Scientist D/Scientist C/Senior Officers from time to time. |
