| Pay Scale | Level 11 (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700/-) of the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC. |
| Age | Not exceeding 40 years as on closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government servants upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A.EDUCATIONAL- Master of Business Administration (Marketing) or Master of Business Economics from a recognised University or Institution. Note- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. B. Experience- Five years’ experience in the field of marketing of agriculture or horticulture produce or supply chain management in the Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administration or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory or Autonomous Organisations or Universities or Recognised Research Institutions. |

| Duty(ies) | Marketing Specialists/Economist is responsible for identifying various markets and development of quality standards for various horticulture produce, for facilitating in market linkage through agri-business promotional programmes and in training entrepreneurs to develop and start their own enterprise, for promotion of FPCs in marketing linkages, training to FPOs/ FPCs related to market linkages, in guiding farmers and private entrepreneurs in marketing of various horticulture produce in the NE region and for promotion of adequate participation of private entrepreneurs in the field of marketing including exports. |
