Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-11 (Rs. 67700-208700) plus NPA
Age   Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 43 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   C. EDUCATIONAL
(v) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).

(vi) Post-graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned Speciality of Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI i.e., Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis) or Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases) or Diplomate National Board (Tuberculosis)/ (Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases) or Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) with Diploma in Tuberculosis Diseases Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) with Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases or Diplomate National Board (Medicine) with Diploma in Tuberculosis Diseases or Diplomate National Board (Medicine) with Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases or Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases) or Diplomate National Board (Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases) or Diploma in Tuberculosis Diseases or Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases.

B. EXPERIENCE

(vii) Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality or super-speciality after obtaining the first Post-graduate degree or 5 years’ experience after obtaining the Post-graduate Diploma.

Note-1 Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.) or Magister Chirurgiae (M. Ch.) qualification of three years’ duration shall be counted towards requirement of experience in the concerned broad speciality.

Note-2 Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.) or Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) of five years’ duration shall be taken as three years for completion of post graduate degree and the last two years of the said Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.) or Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) shall be counted towards requirement of teaching experience.

Note-3 The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the U.P.S.C. for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)

Probation   One year
Headquarters   Karnataka and Andaman & Nicobar Island. However, they may be posted anywhere in India.
Other Details   Group ‘A’ Central Health Service Non-Teaching Specialist Sub Cadre.
Any Other Conditions   The other conditions of service as laid down in the CHS Rules, 2014, and other rules in force from time in particular (i) Private practice of any kind what so ever shall not be allowed including any consultation and laboratory practice. (ii) The candidate selected will, If so required shall be liable to serve in any Defence service or post connected with the Defence of India, for a period not less than four years including the period spent in training, if any Provided that such officer shall not (a) be required to serve as aforesaid after the expiry of ten years from the date of appointment or from the date of joining the service, (b) Ordinarily be required to serve as aforesaid after attaining the age of 45 years. (iii) All the vacancies are permanent. But the vacancies are filled on temporary basis and the appointees are confirmed/made permanent on satisfactorily completion of period of probation.
