Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 11 (Rs. 67700- 208700/-) in the pay matrix.
Age   Not exceeding 40 years for UR/EWS candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 43 years for OBC Candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL- Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

B. EXPERIENCE-
Five years’ experience in Operation and Maintenance of tractors, Agricultural Machinery and allied equipment including teaching experience in any Government or private listed organization
Or
Five years’ experience in handling independently testing and evaluation of farm machinery and agricultural implements in any Government or private listed organization.

Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Post Graduate Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
Duty(ies)   • Overall in charge of testing and training activities.
• Planning, organizing, executing, testing, training, demonstration activities.
• Development of testing facilities, preparation of literature and audio visual aids for training.
• Examine, review, amend IS/ISO/OECD standard, TAP documents, CMVR.
Probation   One year
Headquarters   Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi.
Liable to serve anywhere in India.
Posting can be at Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Hqrs) or at existing Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute at Budni (Madhya Pradesh), Hisar (Haryana), Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh), Biswanath Chariali (Assam) or any other Institute that may be set up in future in India or abroad, in the exigencies of public service.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial).
The post is permanent.
