Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 11 (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700) in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC, Pre-revised, Pay Band 3 in the pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 and Grade Pay of Rs.6600 Plus Non-practising Allowance
Age   Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 43 years for OBC candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for Government Servant up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.
Essential Qualification (s)   i) A recognized Medical Qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational Qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 of the said Act.


ii) A recognized Post Graduate Degree in Community Medicine with two years’ experience in the field of Occupational Health, preferably in factories or mines.

OR


A recognized Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Health or Occupational Health or Public Health with three years’ experience in the field of Occupational Health, preferably in factories or mines.


Note:- The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the U.P.S.C, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   To carry out inspections/ enquiries as Inspector of Mines for enforcement of the provisions of Mines act and the subordinate legislations framed there under with particular emphasis on welfare/occupational health measures for mine workers.
Probation   One year
Headquarters   Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
Other Details   The post is permanent. General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non Ministerial.
Any Other Conditions   (a) Private practice of any kind whatsoever shall not be allowed including any consultation and laboratory practice.
