Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-10 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC Rs.56100-177500
Age   Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Castes as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancy reserved for SC candidate. Relaxable for regular appointed Central/U.T. Govt. Servant upto the Five years as per the instructions/orders issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   Master’s Degree in Statistics or Operational Research or Population Sciences or Demography or Mathematical Statistics or Applied Statistics from a recognized University or Institute.
Note The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   1.Planning/execution of statistical jobs related to population census, SRS, CRS, NPR etc. and other schemes/projects taken up by this office.
2.Assist in finalization of agenda notes/proceedings of the meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences organised by this office.
3.Impart training to the field officers and the Master Trainers during census operation and other schemes and projects like SRS/CRS/NPR etc.
4. Field work relating to Census Operations and other schemes/project and providing technical guidance on matters.
5.Monitoring the progress of the work relating to processing of data collected during Census Operations and field work of various other schemes/projects.
Probation   Two years for direct recruits.
Headquarters   Office of Registrar General, India, New Delhi but liable to serve anywhere in India.
Other Details   The classification of the post is General Central Service, Group A, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial and the post is Permanent.
