Post Description

Pay Scale   Level–09 of pay matrix (Rs.53100-167800)
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant up to Five Years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   (A) EDUCATIONAL-
(i) Master Degree from recognized university.
(ii) B.Ed (Special Education).
OR
B.Ed (General Education) with one year Diploma in Special Education or Two years Diploma in Special Education or Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education.
OR
B.Ed (General Education) and Post Graduate Professional Certificate in Special Education.
OR
PG Diploma in Special Education (Mental Retardation).
OR
PG Diploma in Special Education (Multiple Disability Physical and Neurological).
OR
PG Diploma in Special Education (Locomotor impairment and Cerebral Palsy).
OR
Secondary Level Teacher Training Course in Visual Impairment.
OR
Senior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf.
OR
BA B.Ed in Visual Impairment.

(iii) Registration with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)

(B) EXPERIENCE-

Three years’ experience in the Field of Special Education or Inclusive Education for Children With Disabilities.
Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Ph.D in Special Education from a recognized university or Institute.
Duty(ies)   Overall coordination of all activities undertaken in concerned District for students with Disabilities and special needs.
Probation   Two years
Headquarters   Anywhere under GNCTD
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
