Post Description

Pay Scale   Pay Level -10 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 56100-177500/-)
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central / UT Government Servants upto 5 years as per instructions or orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A). EDUCATIONAL
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
B). EXPERIENCE-
Having at least three years research experience in Civil Engineering related to Hydraulics/ Coastal and Harbor /Water Resources/Geotechnical.

Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Note 2 The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes or Schedule Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the post reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   To carry out basic & applied research in Civil Engineering related to projects in the disciplines of Hydraulics/Coastal and Harbour Engineering/ Hydrology/ Water Resources & Geo-Technical Engineering using experimental, physical and mathematical modelling techniques and desk studies. Carryout field studies for data collection.
Probation   One year
Headquarters   Khadakwasla, Pune with All India Service Liability.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial). The post is permanent. The post is not suitable for Ataxic in One Arm affected and One Leg (OL) affected sub categories of Locomotor Disability category of PwBD.
