Age | Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/order issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s) |
Educational- (i) Degree in any discipline (ii) Having undergone a Category-6 Dangerous Goods Training course duly approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) or International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) or International Air Transport Association (IATA). Experience- Total experience of 07 years as under (i) 02 years experience as Dangerous Goods Instructor of a training organization approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (ii) 05 years experience in handling air cargo in scheduled operations. Note- (i) The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. |
Desirable Qualification (s) | |
Duty(ies) | Conduct on-site inspections/audits of airline operators, shippers, freight forwarders, and airport operators. Submit inspection reports to Chief Dangerous Goods Inspector. Finalize audit findings, communicate to organizations, follow up for corrective actions, and prepare reports. Review Dangerous Goods Manuals, Flight Operations, manuals, and training programs of air operators, airport operators, and ground handling agencies. |
Probation |
Two years for direct recruits subject to successful completion of mandatory induction training. Training- The newly inducted officers shall be provided induction training for a period of minimum two weeks to enable officers to get a general understanding about the organization, its vision and mission and acquire necessary competency required for performing their job. After completion of initial induction training, the newly inducted officers will be provided on the job training to enable them to handle their responsibility independently. |
