Post Description

Pay Scale	Level-11 of the Central Pay Scales plus such allowances as maybe sanctioned by the Government from time to time plus NPA as per Rules .
Age	Not exceeding 50 years as on the normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)	A. EDUCATIONAL (i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956 and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) M.D.( Radiodiagnosis)/ M.D.( Radiology)/ M.S.( Radiology) from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent. B. EXPERIENCE Three years’ teaching experience in the concerned Specialty after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar/ Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a Recognized Medical College/ Teaching Institution. NOTE- 1 The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)
Duty(ies)	The duties of the Senior Lecturer(Radiodiagnosis) will be to teach the undergraduate( MBBS) and Post-graduate students, training of interns, paramedical staff and research work.
Probation	One year for direct recruits.
Headquarters	Chandigarh.
Other Details	General Central Service Group ‘A’ Gazetted Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions	(i) Candidates recruited to the post will be covered by the New Contributory Pension Scheme. (ii) Private practice, of any kind, including laboratory and consultant practice, is strictly prohibited. (iii) The candidate so appointed shall have to join his/her duties within one month from the date of issue of appointment letter. (iv) The candidate so appointed in this institute shall not be allowed to apply for the post for employment outside the Administration for a period of two years from the date of joining.
