Post Description

Pay Scale   PAY LEVEL – 10 IN PAY MATRIX (Rs.56,100 – 1,77,500).
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/UT Government Servant upto 5 years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.’
Essential Qualification (s)   A) Educational- Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University.

B) Experience- Three years’ experience in testing and evaluation of agricultural machinery from any Government organization or university or private listed organization.

Note1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Two years’ practical experience of mechanized farming practices.
Duty(ies)   • Conducting/computation/compilation of various testing and coordinating them for making correspondence with other institution.
• Formulation of test codes and procedures.
• Participate in the training programme for testing engineers from India and abroad.
Probation   One Year
Headquarters   Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi. Liable to serve anywhere in India.

Posting can be at existing Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institutes at Budni (Madhya Pradesh), Hisar (Haryana), Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh), Biswanath Chariali (Assam) or any other Institute that may be set up in future in India or abroad, in the exigencies of public service.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non Ministerial. The post is permanent.
