Post Description

Pay Scale   Level–10 of pay matrix (Academic Level- 10 with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 57700/- 182400)
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per Instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection’.
Essential Qualification (s)   EDUCATIONAL-

B.E./B. Tech./B.S. and M.E./M. Tech./M.S. or integrated M. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering with first class in any one of the degrees.

Note- 1- Candidates recruited as a Faculty with the basic minimum qualifications such as M.Sc. (Mathematics), M. Sc. (Biotechnology), M. Sc. (Electronics), M.Sc. (Computer Science allied subjects), M. Sc. (Physics), M.Sc. (Chemistry), MCA or AMIE, which were considered eligible at the time of recruitment or taken admission in such Courses before publication of the AICTE Gazette dated 13th March, 2010 will also be considered as eligible, subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria and higher qualifications as prescribed.
Note- 2- If a Class or Division is not awarded, a minimum of 60 percent marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to First Class or Division. If a Grade point system is adopted the CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks as below.

Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Academic-
• Teaching and other academic related responsibilities.
• All assigned work related to institution and affiliating body from time to time.
• Organizing seminars/Webinars/Conferences.
Research & Start-Up Activities-
• Taking up sponsored innovative projects and Publishing research papers with student participation with special focus on local problems.
• Encouraging students for Hackathon/ Community activities/Project addressing solution for social challenges.
Administrative-
• Support the department/ institute level functional activities
• Carry out any other administrative work assigned by superiors/A&N Administration.
All other activities as per RR and follow all laid down institute norms.
Probation   Two years
Remarks- No newly appointed faculty member shall be completing the probation without getting the certification of Mandatory Teacher Training of 08 online MooCs modules in SWAYAM as per AICTE Teacher Training Policy preferably within the first year of service.

Other Details   General Central Service Group “A” Gazetted, Non- Ministerial. The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions   The Candidates should be ready to serve in any part of Andaman & Nicobar Islands as per the order/requirement of A & N Administration.
