Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Essential Qualification (s) |
Education-Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution. OR Master of Engineering or Master of Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution. Experience- (A) In case of Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering- 03 years experience in core Mining activity in- (i) Managerial position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or junior trainee engineer, or (ii) Government Department dealing with mines and minerals in level-7 in the pay matrix (Rs.44900-142400) or above. OR (B) In case of Master of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution- 01 year experience in core Mining activity in- (i)Managerial position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or junior trainee engineer or (ii)Government Department dealing with mines and minerals in level-7 in the pay matrix (Rs.44900-142400) or above. Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. |
Desirable Qualification (s) | |
Duty(ies) | Inspection of mines for systematic development, conservation of minerals and protection of mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 and rules made thereunder. To prefer court complaints for violations of Mines and Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act and rules made thereunder. To advise the mine owners on the adoption of appropriate technology for prospecting and mining, utilization of low grade minerals and rejects, protection of environment in mining areas, beneficiation of minerals. To monitor the mining activities in accordance with the approved mining plan/scheme of mining. Technical data processing and retrieval as and when required. Any other duties that may be assigned by the superior officers. |
