|Age||Not exceeding 30 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 30 years for EWS candidates, not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates and not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Class candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. |Essential Qualificaiton (s)||
(A) Educational- Degree in law of a recognized University
Two years’ experience in handling court cases and other legal matters or in handling matters of Trade Marks or Geographical Indications.
|Desirable Qualificaiton (s)||
Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property of a Recognized university.
Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to record in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Note 2 The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, if, at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available for the posts reserved for them.
|Duty(ies)||Under the superintendence and direction of the Registrar, the Examiner of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications examines application for registration of Trade Marks as per the provision of Trade Marks Act,1999 and Rules framed there under. The Examiner of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications can be assigned any other work related to the subject by the Registrar.|
