|Essential Qualificaiton (s)||
A. (i) Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical or Production or Industrial Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical or Production or Industrial Engineering followed by Post-graduate Diploma in Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering of a recognized University.
(i) Ten years’ experience in Engineering Workshop or Industry or training Institute for candidates possessing educational qualification mentioned at point A(i) above.
(ii) Eight years’ experience in Engineering Workshop or Industry or Training Institute for candidates possessing educational qualification mentioned at point A(ii) above.
Note-1 ‘Or equivalent’ means a pass in Section ‘A’ and Section ‘B’ of AMIE of the Institution of Engineers (India) in relevant branch of Engineering i.e., Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical or Production or Industrial Engineering.
Note-2 Engineering workshop is “a small establishment which undertakes repairs, ations, and manufacturing activity or light engineering works etc.”.
Note 3 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
|Desirable Qualificaiton (s)||
i) Master’s Degree in Engineering relevant to A(i) above from a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Experience in organizing, planning of conducting training programmes for supervisors and other management personnel.
Experience of Productivity Science Wing of Engineering Workshop or Industry or Training Institute.
(i) Carrying out Training need identification Surveys Developing Training Material, Manual and Aids, and conducting in-Plant and Public Training Programmes.
(ii) Undertaking Projects and Surveys in the field of Productivity.
(iii) Conducting studies and Surveys in establishing Production norms and standards.
