|Pay Scale||PB-3 Rs.15, 600-39,100/- plus GP Rs. 5400/- Revised Pay Matrix Rs. 56,100-1,77,500/- (Level 10) Pay Rs. 56,100 plus allowances as admissible.|
|Age||Not exceeding 38 years for OBC candidates on the normal closing date in respect of Posts reserved for them. (Relaxable for Govt. Servants upto 5 years in accordance with instructions issued by the Central Govt.)|
|Essential Qualificaiton (s)||
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a University included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act. 1984 (52 of 1984) with registration in the Veterinary Council of India or State Veterinary Council.
2. Three years’ experience in disease investigation and treatment work in a large institutional livestock farm preferably a sheep farm.
Note A livestock farm will be deemed ‘Large’, if the following conditions are satisfied, namely
(i) for Sheep and Goat Farms, Flocks having a strength of one thousand breedable females or higher
(ii) for Cattle and Buffalo Farms, herds having a strength of two hundred breedable females or higher and
(iii) for poultry farms, having flock size of five thousand birds or higher.
NOTE-I The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications.
NOTE-II The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
NOTE-III The Qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reason to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection. The Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient numbers of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
|Desirable Qualificaiton (s)||A Post Graduate degree or diploma in Veterinary Science from a recognized University or Institute.|
|Duty(ies)||To assist the Veterinary Officer in health coverage, disease control, maintenance of Animal Health, Supervision of Vaccination, maintenance of Breeding Programme and record, Supervision of Sheep Management and Field staff at the farm.|
