Post Description
| Pay Scale | As per 7th CPC- Level-8 (Rs. 47600-151100/-) in the Pay Matrix Pre-revised Rs. 9,300-34,800/- (PB-2) plus Rs. 4800 (Grade Pay). (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 47,600/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately.) |
| Age | Not exceeding 30 years for General Category candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 30 years for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, 33 years for Other Backward Class candidates, 35 years for Scheduled Caste candidates and 35 years for Scheduled Tribe candidates as on normal closing date in case of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant upto Five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by Central Government from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A. Educational:- Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Geo-chemistry or Marine Geology or Earth Science & Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies (Coastal Geology) or Environmental Geology or Geo-informatics from a recognized University or Institution. Note : Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in the case of the candidates otherwise well qualified. |
