Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 10 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA @ 20 per cent plus DA (as admissible).
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on the normal closing date for General & EWS candidates. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   Kindly note the Educational Qualification for the post-

(i). Degree in Unani Medicine from a Recognized University Statutory State Board Council Faculty of Indian Medicine recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970).


(ii). Enrolment on the Central Register of Indian Medicine or State Register of Indian Medicine.

NOTE-I The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications.

NOTE-II The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
NOTE-III The Qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reason to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection. The Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient numbers of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   To work as a Doctor in CGHS Dispensaries and as Research Officer in Ministry of AYUSH.
Probation   One year.
Headquarters   Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi.
Other Details   General Central Service Group ‘A’ (Gazetted Non-Ministerial) The posts are Permanent.
