Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 7 (Rs. 44900/- to 142400/-) (Total emoluments at minimum of the scale Rs. 44900/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately.
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Caste candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants upto 5 years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL Degree in Mechanical Engineering from any recognized University plus one year experience in relevant field.
OR
Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University plus one year experience in relevant field from a recognized organization.

Note The term recognized organization for one year essential experience in the relevant field shall include offices of the Central Govt., State Govt. Union Territories, Public Sector Undertaking, Semi Govt., Statutory, Autonomous Organization and companies registered under the Company Act, 2013.

Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Note 2 The Qualifications regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the UPSC is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Checking, preparing and calibration of gauge, test equipment instrument, planning and organizing of proof tasks and inspection independently.
Probation   Two years
Headquarters   New Delhi.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial).
The posts are permanent.
Any Other Conditions   Candidate has to serve in any of the establishments of DGAQA located all over India.
