Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 7 (Rs. 44900/- to 142400/-) (Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale Rs. 44900/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately.
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Schedules Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 33 years for OBC candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants upto 5 years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.’ Note - The eligibity criteria i.e. Age, Experience, etc will be counted as on 02.04.2020 as this vacancy was already advertised on 14.03.2020 with the closing date 02.04.2020.
Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Science Subjects viz. Physics or Chemistry (Inorganic) or Chemistry (Organic).
Or
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in one of the disciplines viz. Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Textile and Clothing, Textile Technology, Plastic Technology, Polymer Technology, Ceramics Technology from a recognized University/Institute.

B. EXPERIENCE
Two years practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the fields of Mechanical Engineering or Textile and Clothing or Garment Designing or Textile Processing or Metallurgy or Plastic or Polymer or Ceramics or Production Engineering from recognized organization or undertaking.

Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Note 2 The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the post reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   The Officer shall be responsible for quality assurance activities & AHSP activities pertaining to trades and ordinance, Inspection, Acceptance and Capacity Assessment of Firms for Defence Supplies, vetting of draft indents/agreements/supply orders, sampling plans, liaison with production units, scrutiny & audit Test Data of Stores, Technical & Administrative duties/correspondence.
Probation   Two years.
Headquarters   New Delhi.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial).
The posts are permanent.
Any Other Conditions   Candidate has to serve in any of the establishments of DGQA located all over India.
