Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-10 in the pay matrix (Rs. 56,100-1,77,500/-) with NPA .
Age   Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATION

(i) Master’s degree in Nursing of a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Registered Nurse and Midwife.

B. EXPERIENCE About 5 years’ experience in Nursing of which 3 years should be either in Public Health Teaching or Nursing Service. (according to nature of duties assigned).

NOTE- 1 The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE- 2 The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at discretion of the Commission, for reason to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and the Schedule Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

NOTE- 3 The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   1) Teaching & supervise in the courses in Clinical Nursing/Education/Administration. Acts as Counsellor for Staff and students.
2) Nature of duties includes administrative,supervisory and research functions.
Probation   2 years.
Headquarters   New Delhi.
Other Details   General Central Service Group ‘A’ Gazetted(Non-Ministerial). The post is permanent.
