Post Description

Pay Scale   As per 7th CPC- Level-11 (Rs. 67700 – 208700/-) in the Pay Matrix (Revised). (Pre-Revised PB-3 of Rs. 15600-39100/- plus Grade Pay of Rs 6600/-) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 67700/- plus DA as applicable per month.)
Age   Not exceeding 40 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government/UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. Educational-
Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent*

Note M. Sc. (Applied Physics) may be taken as equivalent*.

B. Experience-
5 years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the **relevant field.

Note ** Experience in relevant field means Research/Analytical experience in the field of Ballistics/Physics.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Doctorate degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
Duty(ies)   The officers are required to examine crime exhibits, visit scenes of crime, to depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer. The responsibilities attached with the posts also require research and development.
Probation   One (01) year.
Headquarters   In the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Other Details   GCS, Group-A, Gazetted, Non Ministerial. The post is temporary but likely to be continued indefinitely.
