Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/-)
Age   Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Tribes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants upto five years as per instructions/ orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL
(i) Master’s Degree in Anthropology from a recognized university or Institute.
(ii) Diploma in Museology from a recognized university or Institute.

Note-I:- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   At least one year experience of handling, maintaining and preserving specimens in a recognized museum.

Note- The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Commission in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes if at any stage of selection, the Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them
Duty(ies)   To organise and develop the Regional Anthropological Museum and to undertake to field collection and studies in tribal and other areas.
Probation   2 Years.
