Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44900-142400 /-)
Age   33 years for OBC Candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by the Govt. of India from time to time.
Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL
Degree in Electronics Engineering or Instrumentation Technology from a recognized University or Institute
B. EXPERIENCE- Two years’ experience in the installation, calibration and maintenance of electronics and electrical instruments for automatic measurement and controls, experience in handling strain gauge, sound and vibration equipment etc. from any government or private (listed) organizations.
Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   • Calibration, operation, maintenance, service and repair, procurement of testing instruments.
• Coordination of computerization and automation of various sections through V-SAT, Internet, LAN and web-site etc.
• Instrumentation activities for testing of meters, gauges, dynamometers etc.
Probation   Two years
Headquarters   Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi.

Liable to serve anywhere in India.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial).
The post is permanent.
