Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 7 (Rs. 44900/- to 142400/-) (Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale Rs. 44900/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately.
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Note exceeding 35 years for Schedules Castes as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government servant upto 5 years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Note - The eligibity criteria i.e. Age, Experience, etc will be counted as on 02.04.2020 as this vacancy was already advertised on 14.03.2020 with the closing date 02.04.2020.
Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
B. EXPERIENCE- Two years practical experience in work relating to quality assurance in one of the following fields from recognized organization or undertaking.-
Mechanical Engineering- Manufacture and quality assurance of various automotive systems/Assembly/Components.
Automobile Engineering- Manufacture/Assembly and quality assurance of automobile systems and emphasis on performance Engineering of Vehicles.

Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Note 2 The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the post reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   The Officer shall be responsible for quality assurance, acceptance, inspection of equipments, arms, ammunitions, and stores defect investigation, trials, vetting of draft indents/agreements/supply orders, sampling plans, liaison with production units, removal of bottlenecks and suggesting methods for improvement of quality.
Probation   Two years.
Headquarters   New Delhi.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial).
The posts are permanent.
Any Other Conditions   Candidate has to serve in any of the establishments of DGQA located all over India.
