Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 6 in the pay matrix (Rs.35400/-)
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancy reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Govt. Servants upto five years as per the instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Note - The eligibity criteria i.e. Age, Experience, etc will be counted as on 02.04.2020 as this vacancy was already advertised on 14.03.2020 with the closing date 02.04.2020.
Essential Qualification (s)   (A) EDUCATIONAL
Masters Degree in Social Welfare or Labour Welfare or Social Work or Sociology or Economics or Statistics or Psychology or Commerce or Education of a recognized university or equivalent.

Note Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   (i) Knowledge of Local Language (Telugu/Tamil)
(ii) Experience in matters pertaining to Employment Exchange Policy and Procedure or Collection of Employment Market Information or Vocational Guidance, Employment Counselling and Placement of Personnel or Collection, Analysis and Interpretation of Socio-Economic Data.
Duty(ies)   1. To conduct Confidence Building Programme 2. Group Guidance 3. Pre-Registration Guidance 4. Discussion with parents 5. Preparation and Distribution of Occupational information literature 6. Publication of monthly bulletin 7.Submission of Occupational information to individuals 8. In the absence of Sub-Regional Employment Officer, except for financial matters, he is also responsible to look after administrative matters as and when required.
Probation   Two years.
Headquarters   DGE (HQ), New Delhi.
Other Details   Governed by the New Pension Scheme of 01/01/2004. One post is permanent (UR) and one is temporary (OBC), General Central Service Group ’B’ Gazetted.
Any Other Conditions   Post carries All India liability.
