Post Description

Pay Scale   Level – 10 (Rs.56,100 – 1,77,500/-) in the Pay Matrix as per CCS (R.P.) Rules, 2016. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56,100/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately).
Age   Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Tribe candidates as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant paras of the ‘Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection.’ Note- The eligibility criteria i.e. Age, Experience etc. will be counted as on 16.04.2020 as this vacancy was originally scheduled to be launched with vacancy details on 28.03.2020 with the closing date 16.04.2020.
Essential Qualification (s)   A. Educational-
(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
or
(ii) Master’s Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology from a recognized University or Institute.

B. Experience-
(i) Possessing three year’s experience in the field of Computer Engineering.
or
(ii) Possessing three year’s experience in the field of Computer Science/Information Technology.

Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of the candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note 2 The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Work related to maintenance of all electronic equipments, hardware, software, intra-organization connectivity, power back-up, system back-up, update data recording of CSMRS’ manual, service record, communication with service provider, all other work as per the GOI mandate related to digitization along with cyber security.
Probation   01 (One) year.
Headquarters   Central Soil and Materials Research Station, New Delhi with All India Service Liability.
Other Details   General Central Services, Group ‘A’ Gazetted. Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
