Post Description
| Pay Scale | As per 7th CPC- Level-10 (Rs. 56100 – 177500/-) in the Pay Matrix. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56100/- plus DA as applicable per month.) |
| Age | Not exceeding 35 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Tribes candidates as on normal closing date for vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government/UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A. Educational- Master’s Degree in Zoology or Botany or Anthropology or Human Biology or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Genetics or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or Forensic Science with Zoology or Botany or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B. Sc. Level from a recognized University. B. Experience- 3 years experience in analytical methods/research therein in the relevant field. Note 1 Experience in relevant field means experience of Research/Analytical methods therein in the field of Zoology or Botany or Anthropology or Biology or Life Science or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Genetics or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology. Note 2 The qualification(s) regarding experience is / are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the UPSC is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. Note 3: Life Science means Human Biology |
| Desirable Qualification (s) | Doctorate degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent |
| Duty(ies) | The officers are required to examine crime exhibits, visit scenes of crime, to depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer. The responsibilities attached with the posts also require research and development. |
