Post Description

Pay Scale   Level-10 in the pay matrix (₹ 56,100-1,77,500/-)
Age   Not exceeding 35 years as on the normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   (a) Master’s Degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics from a recognized University and

(b) Two years experience in fabrication or manufacturing of Prosthetics & Orthotics appliances, training & research in the field of rehabilitation from a institute recognized by the Central or State Government or an autonomous body under the Central or State Government or a University recognized by the University Grant Commission or an Institute recognized by the Regulatory Council.

OR

(c) Degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics from a recognized University, and

(d) Three years’ experience in fabrication or manufacturing of Prosthetics and Orthotics appliances, training and research in the field of rehabilitation in an Institute recognized by Central or State Government or an autonomous body under the Central or State Government or a University recognized by the University Grant Commission or an institute recognized by the Regulatory Council.

NOTE- 1 The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India.

NOTE- 2 The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE- 3 The qualification(s) regarding experience is relaxable at discretion of the Commission, for reason to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and the Schedule Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   1. Conduct lectures & demonstrations in the subject of Prosthetics & Orthotics
2. All examination work and co-ordination with the University as per requirements of University for Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO) and Master of Prosthetics & Orthotics (MPO) and other allied course
3. Conduct research and guide BPO & MPO students in research & publications
4. Supervise and participate in the functioning of Prosthetics & Orthotics sections
5. To participate in the procurement process of materials, machinery & equipments.
