Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 7 (Rs. 44900/- to 142400/-) (Total emoluments at minimum of the scale Rs. 44900/- DA as applicable per month approximately.
Age   Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Caste (OBC) candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants upto 5 years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A. EDUCATIONAL Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in one of the disciplines viz. Mechanical, Electrical & Automobile from a recognized University or Institute.

B. EXPERIENCE Two years experience in Quality Assurance activities in the fields of Mechanical or Electrical or Automobile from recognized organization or undertaking.

Note 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Note 2 The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes or Schedule Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the post reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   The Officer shall be responsible for quality assurance, acceptance, inspection of equipments, arms and ammunitions stores defect investigation, trials, vetting of draft indents/agreements/supply orders, sampling plans, liaison with production units, removal of bottlenecks and suggesting methods of improvement of quality.
Probation   Two years
Headquarters   New Delhi.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted. (Non-Ministerial).
The posts are permanent.
Any Other Conditions   HQrs of DGQA is in New Delhi with All India Service Liability.
