| Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 38 years for OBC candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 40 years for SC/ST candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/order issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE- A (i) Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. (ii) 03 (Three) years experience in core Mining activity in- (a) Managerial position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or junior trainee engineer, Or (b) Government Department dealing with mines and minerals in Level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs 44900- 142400) or above. OR (B) (i) Master of Engineering or Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. (ii) (a) 01 (One) year experience in core Mining activity in- Managerial position in Metalliferous (Non-coal) mines which includes the period as graduate or management or junior trainee engineer, Or (b) Government Department dealing with mines and minerals in Level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs 44900- 142400) or above. Note- (i) The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. (ii) The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes or the Scheduled Tribes, if any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. |

Inspection of Mines for systematic development, conservation of minerals and protection of Mines and Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act, 1957 and rules made there under. To prefer court complaints for violations of Mines and Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act, and rules made there under. To advise the mine owners on the adoption of appropriate technology for prospecting and mining, utilization of low grade minerals and rejects, protection of environment in mining areas, beneficiation of minerals. To monitor the mining activities in accordance with the approved mining plan/scheme of mining. |
