| Pay Scale | Pay Band-2, Rs. 9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,600/- . (Level-7 (₹44900-142400) of pay matrix of 7th CPC.) |
| Age | Not exceeding 30 years as on closing date. Not exceeding 30 years for EWS category candidates as on closing date in respect of the vacancy reserved for them. Not exceeding 33 years for OBC category candidates as on closing date in respect of the vacancy reserved for them. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribe category candidates as on closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A. Educational- Master’s Degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics of a recognized University, incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grant Commission Act, 1956 or a foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time. Note 1- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified. B. Experience- Two years’ experience of conducting economic investigation or research from recognized Research Institutes in India, University or Deemed University and Central or State Government. Note 2- The qualification(s) regarding experience is or are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for the reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. |
