Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 6 (Revised) of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Rs.35400 – 112400)
Age   Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes candidates as on closing date in respect of the vacancy reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government servants upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Government of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   (A) EDUCATIONAL
Masters Degree in Commerce or Social Welfare or Social Work or Economics or Statistics or Psychology or Education of a recognized university or equivalent.
Note I - Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
(B) EXPERIENCE
(i) 2 years’ experience of Socio-economic Investigation or Research preferably in relation to demography employment and unemployment or manpower problems.
(ii) Knowledge of employment service work.
Note II - The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to the Schedule Castes if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Experience of employment exchange operations.
Duty(ies)   (i) Work pertaining to development of vocational guidance, occupational research job studies and employment Exchange procedures
(ii) Providing occupational information, vocational guidance and confidence building training to scheduled caste/scheduled tribe candidates and counseling to their parents.
Probation   Two years
Headquarters   DGE (HQ), New Delhi.
Other Details   Governed by the New Pension Scheme of 01.01.2004.
Any Other Conditions   General Central Service (Group B – Gazetted), non-ministerial. Permanent Post. Post carries All India liability.
