| Pay Scale | Pay Level-7 (Rs. 44,900/- to Rs. 1,42,400/-) as per 7th CPC. |
| Age | Not exceeding 30 years as on closing date. Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates as on closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. | Essential Qualification (s) |
A. EDUCATIONAL Master’s Degree in Economics from a recognized University or equivalent. Note-I Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. B. EXPERIENCE Two year’s experience in conducting and guiding investigation or surveys and research relating to small scale industries. Note-II Qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. If, at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them. |
| Desirable Qualification (s) |
(i) Experience in handling economic data pertaining to and knowledge of problems relating to small scale industries and/or other industries. (ii) Basic knowledge of computers application currently used software/packages for offices. |
| Duty(ies) | To conduct surveys on District Industrial Potentiality, Market, Credit Availability to SSI sector and its utilization and sick SSI units. To prepare State Industrial profiles/project profiles, feasibility reports, notes on problems being faced by SSI units, measures for revival of sick SSI units and Tax concessions etc and any other duties that may be assigned. |
