Post Description

Pay Scale   Academic Level 13A1 with rationalized entry pay of Rs1,31,400/- (Revised). PB-4, Rs 37,400-67,000 Plus Academic Grade Pay Rs 9000/-(Pre-Revised).
Age   Not exceeding 50 years for General Candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 53 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regular appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five Years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   Kindly note the essential Educational Qualification for the post:

(i) Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology and Master of Engineering or Master of Technology from a recognized University or Institute, with First Class or Equivalent either in Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology or Master of Engineering or Master of Technology in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering; and

(ii) Doctor of Philosophy in Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

B. EXPERIENCE:-
Minimum of five years experience in teaching or research or industry.

Note 1:-If a class or division is not awarded, minimum of Sixty percent marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class or division. If a Grade Point system is adopted the Cumulative Grade Point Average will be converted into equivalent marks as below


Grade Point=Equivalent Percentage:
6.25=55%
6.75=60%
7.25=65%
7.75=70%
8.25=75%

Note 2:- Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   (i) Post Doctor of Philosophy publications and guiding Doctor of Philosophy students.

(ii) Out of total essential experience, two years post doctoral experience.
Duty(ies)   Teaching in relevant stream of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering to Service Officers at MCTE.
Probation   One year.

Other Details   General Central Services, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non Ministerial. The Posts are permanent.
