Pay Scale | Pay Level- 10 |
Age | Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 38 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 40 years for SC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them.Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/order issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s) |
A- EDUCATIONAL- (1) Degree in Aeronautical or Electrical or Electronics or Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized University. B. Experience- Two years experience in aircraft design and development including aircraft electrical or electronics or mechanical systems or airworthiness engineering. Note- (i) The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. (ii) The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, if at any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. |
Desirable Qualification (s) | One year experience in aeronautical research and development or design or laboratory investigation of failed aircraft parts or Flight Recorders involved in accident or incident or Airworthiness Engineering. |
Duty(ies) | Assistance in examining documents pertaining to type certification (TC) of aeronautical products, issued by other countries, issued by FAA/EASA, in renewal of audit and regulatory audit of DoA. Assistance in analysis of data derived from FDRs & CVRs in testing of aeronautical materials in laboratories, in analyzing of the failed components of airplane / helicopter involved in accident/incident, in testing of aviation turbine fuel samples, oil samples & commissioning of new tanks and any other job assigned by senior officers. |
Probation |
Two years for direct recruits subject to successful completion of mandatory induction training. Training- The newly inducted officers shall be provided induction training to enable them to get a general understanding about the organization, its vision and mission and acquire necessary competency required for performing their job. After completion of initial induction training, the newly inducted officers will be provided on the job training to enable them to handle their responsibility independently. |
