Post Description

Pay Scale   Level 12 in the pay matrix (Rs. 78800-209200/-)
Age   Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Governments Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time.
Essential Qualification (s)   (A) Educational
1. Master Degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology from a recognized University or institute.
2. Master in Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from a recognized University or Institution.
3. Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from a recognized University or Institution.

(B) Experience
1. Ten years teaching and research experience in Clinical Psychology out of which at least five years teaching experience should be as Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology from a recognized University or Institution.

Note-
Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission or competent authority in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)   Research or published work in indexed journal.
Duty(ies)   1. He will be overall incharge of Deptt. of Clinical Psychology.
2. He will deliver lecture of various courses like M. Phil, M.D., Ph.D. and D.P.N.
3. Psychodiagnostic and Psychotherapeutic work with in patients and out patient and supervision of such work.
4. To arrange lecture programmes of visiting professors from the outside.
5. To co-ordinate university examination held at the university.
6. Conducting/Collaborating/Guiding the Research work at this Institute.
7. To guide and supervise Ph. D. students in their research work and thesis writing.
8. Any other duties assigned by the higher authorities.
Probation   One year
Headquarters   Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi – 06, Jharkhand.
Other Details   General Central Service, Group - A, Gazetted, Non Ministerial. The post is permanent.
