Post Description

Pay Scale   LEVEL – 10 ( Rs. 56100 – 177500/-)
Age   Not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on closing date in respect of the vacancy reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government servants up to five years as per instruction/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s)   A.EDUCATIONAL-
Master’s degree in Anthropology of a recognized University with more than fifty percent papers in Cultural Anthropology in final year examination.
Note-Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

B. EXPERIENCE-
Three years’ research experience in Anthropology.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   (i) To lead field parties and to carry out Anthropological investigation in the field of Cultural Anthropology and to prepare reports.
(ii) To prepare research plans and programmes and to supervise the research work of other scientific members in collection of data, analysis of data and writing of reports.
(iii) To do such other works as and when assigned by the Head of the Deptt.
Probation   2 (two) years.
Headquarters   Kolkata (Post carries All India liability)
Other Details   The post is permanent and classified as General Central Service, Group-A, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
Any Other Conditions   Governed by the New Pension Scheme of 01.01.2004.
