Post Description

Pay Scale   Pay Level- 13A (131100-216600) (pre-revised Rs. 37400-67000/- with grade pay of Rs. 8900/-)
Age   Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for Government Servants upto five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.
Essential Qualification (s)   (A) (i) Masters Degree in Computer Applications or Computer Science or M. Tech (with specialization in Computer Applications) or BE/B. Tech in Information Technology or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology from a recognized University or Institute
(ii) Twelve years experience of electronic data processing or computer oriented optimization information or Statistical System, out of which at least seven years experience should be in actual Computer Programming and System Design or Design, Development or Organizing Computerized Information Storage and Retrieval System.
OR
(B) (i) BE/B.Tech in Electronics or Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
(ii) Thirteen years experience of electronic data processing or computer oriented optimization information or Statistical System, out of which at least eight years experience should be in actual Computer Programming and System Design or Design, Development or Organizing Computerized Information Storage and retrieval system.
OR
(C) (i) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications or Computer Science or Information Technology or Electronics from a recognized University or Institute
(ii) Thirteen years experience of Electronic Data Processing or Computer Oriented Optimization Information or Statistical System, out of which at least eight years experience should be in actual Computer Programming and System Design or Design, Development or Organizing Computerized Information Storage and Retrieval System.
Note- (i) The experience as prescribed above should be from the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institute or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations of repute.
Note- (ii) The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s)  
Duty(ies)   Development, monitoring and evaluation of IT projects in area policing, assigned by the Ministry and giving leadership and innovative thrust. Formulate program management strategies with the concerned stakeholders. Advising Director, NCRB on all matters pertaining to IT proposals and functioning.
Probation   One year
Headquarters   New Delhi
Other Details   General Central Service, Group A’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial). The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions   The degrees obtained through distance education mode should be in accordance with the territorial jurisdiction policy of UGC.
